Good evening from IMG news! This is WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot reporting live from where the magic happens. Here are the latest headlines:

Theo’s Artwork Conquers the World

Our long-time member Theo created livery mock-ups for the 2016 F1 season in his personal blog, The Livery Blog. This was noticed by Germany’s most famous motorsport magazine Auto Motor und Sport who featured his amazing artwork on their website. Most people, including myself, agree that Theo’s livery line-up is way better than anything the F1 teams are likely to come up with in real life.

You can view the Auto Motor und Sport article here: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/formel-1/f1-design-2016-10401115.html

Livery Design Competition for Future Hillclimb Superstar

IMG’s own MadRacer38 has gotten himself a mighty Hyundai Excel which he is going to fix up and race. Of course, any racer needs a proper paintjob; therefore, he has launched a competition for the livery of the car. The folks who were around the old Robsworkshop site will certainly remember his previous competition in which a livery was designed for his go-kart trailer, and this competition is likely to be a repeat of that spectacular success. See the competition here (but only if you are a member!): http://internationalmotorsportgraphics.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=549

IMG Now Available in 3D!

Throughout its history, IMG and its predecessor Robsworkshop have concentrated in creating 2D graphics. That’s going to change, now. While 2D graphics will obviously remain as the foundation of our workshop, a brave step towards the three-dimensional world has been taken through the launching of the 3D Livery Competition test round. While the number of 3D artists in our midst is still low, the plans for a 3D competition were met with overwhelming enthusiasm and the demands for a competition grew too loud to ignore. Thus, the test round was created and it is off to a roaring start. The rules in a nutshell: make an awesome texture for a 3D model of a car that meets the theme of the round, take a couple of screenshots and enter.

The 3D Livery Competition is available in our ‘Other Competition’ forum.
