Latest non-championship race went well.

Something that wasn't mentioned is that I was spun into the gravel at turn 2 mid-race. Lost 20 seconds there.

Closed back some of the points I lost after missing two rounds.

The LXG organiser wanted to do a little write up for the website so here's that too.

Yes and no.
If you want to play Forza 6 and have access to all of the content and online features, yes.
If you just want to play a small portion of the game and only offline, Forza Motorsport Apex is the computer version of Forza 6. The next generation of the Forza Motorsport series (due late 2017) will most likely be released on PC as well as Xbox.

Also, an official online championship was announced today (introduction of e-sports to Forza, basically). http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/FRC_announce

A couple of wins, a couple of shockers and a poor wet weather setup sums that up.

Indy round of the V8's is on Sunday and our NC Le Mans 2.4hr is the following week. The 2016 Ford GT LeMans car has been added as afore download as of today, so I might use that.

LXG at Indy - Front row start, 1 win, 3 podiums and a clumsy crash (my fault)

The Silverstone 150 (aka Sandown) didn't go to plan but could've been worse. I was take out on lap one and had to recover from 18th and last. Ended up 4th which was a nice save!

Preview for the next race, Bathurst 300, is up now https://lxgv8supercars.wordpress.com/20 ... hurst-300/

Here is the car I'll be running;

Since I'm running a Ford and it's been 10yrs since the passing of Mark Porter (I was a big fan), I thought I'd run a tribute livery of sorts. It's of his 2005 Falcon.

The 2017 LXG Season kicked off last Sunday at Yas Marina.

I'm running a team of 6 cars (1 wildcard and 1 under a different team name) as well as assisting another two. The Classics were on the support bill for round 1 as well.

It was great racing with the near capacity grid in both series and some great battles throughout the field.

I personally had a decent result, just a few tenths off the front few drivers, one of which was my team mate whom now leads the championship. We also lead the teams :D

Here's the full review: https://lxgv8supercars.wordpress.com/20 ... na-sprint/

Check out the Facebook page for pics of all the action.

As for the classic, I had a perfect run taking pole and 3 wins. One of my team mates decided to join the classics and took two podiums as well.

Here's the review for that: https://lxgv8supercars.wordpress.com/20 ... as-marina/

So overall, a very good debut for the new look team (1 car to 6!). A bit of work to do to get us all towards the front, but it seems achievable. #6 has the pace, but the track didn't suit. #76 has the potential but needs to improve consistency and calmness behind the wheel. #55 got a bit caught out but has the pace to run top 5s. So fingers crossed for the next round!

Round 2 of the V8 Series took place on Sunday with the reigning champ flexing his muscles and displaying unrivalled speed across the round.

However, an early drop out in race three meant he wouldn't leave Prague with the championship lead. That honour would got to...me! A quiet, but relatively consistent weekend in terms of results mean that I will head into round 3 at Spa as title leader. Whilst only by nine-points, it is a feat I had not accomplished since i started racing in the series mid-2015.

BDR has also maintained its lead in the teams tally, with my nominated team mate (for points) only doin game on race and the JHP Nissan team only have one car for the round.

Back to Prague, the racing was more intense then ever. The competition was closer, and a few new faces took the fight to the established front runners.

Here is the full review here (includes points tally, both teams and drivers); https://lxgv8supercars.wordpress.com/20 ... rague-250/

The Formula Fords were scheduled to make their debut as a support category. They had to be postponed due to the V8 event running over time by nearly an hour.

Coming up next - FFord at Prague / V8SC, BTCC and GT at Spa.
