Time for another LXG update. A long weekend in the Ardennes :)

The weekend came with high expectations on myself because of not only being championship lead, but my record at the track and in the cars that were racing.

Starting with the V8 Supercars, I qualified on the third row for 3rd time in the three rounds. This left me in the danger zone. Race one went relatively well albeit a poor start left me 9th and scrapping to hold on. The round didn't really improve for me as I suffered greatly in the race two chaos, being the last car left at the scene of the accident, which meant I was down the grid for race 3.

Regardless of that, I race consistently in the top ten and managed to leave the round P3 in the championship with my half of my team in P2 in the teams title.

The GTCC made their debut as a support category and boy did they steal the show. Some of the best racing in LXG history all through the field left everyone grinning from ear to ear irrespective of the result. Even though signs from qualifying were ominous, the field was pretty well bunched in seperate battle packs. Myself and Harvey traded blows out front with him leaving the round two points clear.

Lastly, the IPG GT Series hosted their second round at the same circuit on the Monday.
I entered with low expectations having been off the pace at the first round and having a poor record with the SLS. However, the latest BOP for the extremely difficult to balance GT machinery meant I was not only able to steal pole position, but lead a crushing lights-to-flag victory in the 1.2hr race. Whilst there were a couple of challenges throughout the night time duel, I was never headed and managed to ease away when it counted.

No full review for this, but I am now up to P3 in the title and am hoping to revive my form in the class after having a tumultuous year in the class.

Anyone following this dribble may have noticed a lack of mention to the FFord race. The rescheduled date meant I was unable to attend and will be well out of any title contention after just one round.

Next weekend is Hockenheim, a place that provided many surprises for everyone last year in the V8S. The Classics will be lining as support as I aim to defend my title lead.

That's awesome, bro. Congrats on the win! Was that your first time racing or did you have prior experience?

I've done a fair bit on Forza before that race. Good fun.
