So one more thing I wanted to share with you. My nickname probably already spoiled this, but I play the bass trombone in two brass bands, competing in the two highest divisions in the Netherlands. More information on brass bands, brass band contests etc. here. Basically, we are a bunch of music-intoxicated geeks

A couple of recordings I'm on and I'm proud of:

With Oefening en Uitspanning (1st division):

Part of our 2011 Eurobrass winning programme and later became the tune for a Dutch TV show on brass and wind band performances, Glory Fanfare by Otto Schwarz:

The 2017 Dutch Nationals winning performance of Stonehenge by Jan van der Roost:

With Brassband Rijnmond:

Our 2016 performance of The Triumph of Time by Peter Graham. Not appreciated by the adjudicators then, but still appreciated by me :):

A bit of Christmas :D But this one was very much appreciated by the composer on our social media! Comfort and Joy by Martyn Thomas:

That was awesome! I'll be sure to come and check out your concert the next time I come Benelux way ;)

You're not BAS in disguise, by any chance? He's an old member no longer active here... aside from the similar nickname, he also dabbled in the music business, so I'm getting suspicious here

Sure, come by whenever you have the chance! The championships are always awesome days in particular. I am nobody in disguise, but I do know some Dutch musicians named Bas...
